WACO, Texas - Baylor volleyball's Andie Malloy was named honorable mention on the 2014 AVCA All-Southwest Region team, announced Tuesday. Malloy, a junior outside hitter from Allen, Texas, ranked second in the Big 12 in kills per set (3.89) and eight in digs per set (3.03) for the Bears.

Malloy becomes the first Baylor player to earn all-region honors since 2009 when Taylor Barnes and Anna Breyfogle both earned first-team honors. Malloy was recently selected as a first-team All-Big 12 selection as well.

The Iowa State transfer ranked second in the Big 12 in double-doubles with 17, and she tallied 447 kills and 348 digs on the season. Malloy surpassed the 20-kills mark in seven matches in 2014.

Malloy was named to two All-Tournament teams in the regular season, and she was named first team Academic All-Big 12.
