Royal Oaks Intercollegiate Final Results 
THE RUNDOWN
Dallas -- The Baylor men's golf team shot 5-under-par 350 in Tuesday's final round to finish in third place at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate. The Bears finished the 54-hole, six-count-five tournament at 18-under-par 1,048, just three strokes back of second place Stanford.
Five Baylor players finished the tournament in the top 30 individually. Jerry Ruiz tied for 15th place at 4-under-par 209 after a final round 2-under 69. Andreas Gjesteby shot a career-low final round of 67 to move up 17 spots into a tie for 20th place, which was his career-best finish. Charles Neel White, who was playing in the Baylor lineup for the first time, tied with teammate Niclas Mansson in 22nd place at 2-under par 211. Mansson shot a final-round 1-under 70, and White carded a 1-over 72 on Tuesday.
Kyle Jones finished in a tie for 26th place at 1-under par 211, while Filippo Zucchetti finished at 3-over par in a tie for 41st place. Jones shot 1-over 72 and Zucchetti finished the final round at 5-over 76.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Ruiz recorded his third top-15 individual finish in four tournaments this season.
• Ruiz eagled hole five and finished the front nine at 3-under 32.
• Gjesteby's final round was bogey free and included four birdies, and he finished second in the field with 42 pars over 54 holes.
• Jones finished the tournament with a 2.75 scoring average on par-3 holes, tied for second-best in the field.
• Ruiz had the tournament's second-best par-5 scoring average at 4.22.
• Zucchetti made 13 birdies in the tournament, which tied for fourth-most.
• Nine of Baylor's 15 countable rounds in the tournament were at or below par.
• Baylor has now placed in the top three in three of its first four tournaments of the season.

"We moved up a spot today, and it is always good when you can move up," head coach Greg Priest said. "I thought overall we had a pretty solid tournament. We were really able to compete well as a team. The guys are playing pretty well. We just want to continue to play well as a team."
