Tucker Intercollegiate Final Results 
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Baylor men's golf finished tied for fourth overall after shooting 16-over-par 304 in Saturday's final round at the 2012 Tucker Intercollegiate at the UNM Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M.
The Bears (+26; 296-290+304=890) tied for fourth with Brigham Young (+26; 298-293-299=890) and Minnesota (+26; 288-308-294=890). New Mexico (-15; 283-285-281=849) won by 29 strokes over second-place Colorado (+14; 289-294-295=878) and third-place San Francisco (+22; 297-284-305=886).
"This was not our best tournament, but it was a great learning opportunity," head coach Greg Priest said. "The UNM golf course is a hard course, it's really long and doesn't really fit very many of our guys' games, so it was a grind from start to finish."
Baylor's fourth-place finish tied for its best in seven all-time appearances at the Tucker Intercollegiate. The Bears also finished fourth in 2005 and 2009.
Niclas Mansson (+6; 70-76-76=222) tied for 22nd place individually to earn the best finish among the seven Bears who played in the tournament. Filippo Zucchetti (+7; 76-73-74=223) and Kyle Jones (+7; 74-73-76=223) both finished tied for 26th place.
Mikkel Bjerch-Andresen (+9; 76-71-78=225) finished tied for 33rd place and Ryan O'Rear (+17; 82-73-78=233) rounded out team play tied for 64th place. Andreas Gjesteby (+12; 73-77-78=228) and Matthew Seligmann (+13; 77-80-81=238), who both competed as individuals, finished tied for 46th place and tied for 75th place, respectively.
New Mexico's Gavin Green (-7; 71-69-69=209) finished atop the individual leaderboard, followed by Minnesota's Erik Van Rooyen (-6; 66-73-71=210) and UNM's John Catlin (-4; 76-69-67=212).
Baylor returns to action when it travels to Durham, N.C. on Oct. 13-14 to compete in the Rod Myers Invitational hosted by Duke University.
"I am proud of the effort because we did not quit," Priest said. "It's only our second tournament, and we have a long way to go, so we will continue to work hard and be ready for Duke."
