The No. 15 Baylor softball team (22-8, 1-2) snapped a three-game losing streak and ended No. 7 Oklahoma's 17-game winning streak with a 1-0 victory Sunday afternoon at Getterman Stadium.

"We kept telling the girls to keep fighting, and that's what they did," head coach Glenn Moore. "That's a very good Oklahoma team, so this win is big. We need to build on the victory and keep moving forward."

Courtney Repka (10-3) picked up her second complete-game shutout of the season, allowing just four hits, walking two and striking out four.

The Lady Bears outhit the Sooners 5-4, with five different players recording one hit apiece.

Baylor ended a 31.2 inning scoring drought with two outs in the fifth, as Kathy Shelton led off the inning with a single up the middle followed by a steal of second, her 17th of the year. With two outs, Holly Holl hit a rocket to first that hit the glove of Lauren Chamberlain and landed at the feet of Georgia Casey, who then overthrew first, allowing Shelton to score from second for the 1-0 lead.

Repka allowed just two base runners and one hit the rest of the way, including getting a great defensive play from Sydney Wilson. With one out in the seventh, Javen Wilson hit a deep fly ball to left that saw Wilson drift back and make the catch as she crashed into the wall for the second out. Repka then struck out Erica Sampson to end the game.

The Lady Bears stranded nine runners on the day, including three in the first, as BU loaded the bases with two hit-by-pitches and one walk but a Delaney Guy fielder's choice ended the threat.

Repka worked out of a bases loaded jam in the fourth, seemingly getting out of the inning when a grounder to short was flipped by Jordan Strickland to Guy at second, but Guy dropped the pitch to prolong the inning. Repka got Katie Norris to pop out to short on the very next pitch, ending the inning.

Baylor loaded the bases in the bottom half of the fourth, as Holl led off the inning with a single down the left field line. After Guy reached on a fielder's choice for the first out, Strickland singled down the left field line, and with two outs Sydney Wilson singled to left to load the bases. That brought Kayce Walker to the plate, but a grounder to short ended BU's scoring chance.

Baylor will next be in action at No. 19 Texas A&M (22-9, 2-1) on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. That game can be heard live on 1660 ESPN Central Texas beginning at 6:15 pm.
