The No. 15 Baylor softball team (21-5) extended its win streak to seven games, defeating Buffalo (6-11) 3-0 in game one and Liberty (6-12) 2-1 in game two on Friday afternoon at Getterman Stadium.

"I keep telling our kids that at least we are winning ballgames," head coach Glenn Moore said. "We aren't where we want to be offensively right now, but we keep fighting and winning and that is the type of team I want."

Game One
No. 15 Baylor 3, Buffalo 0

Liz Paul (6-2) pitched her second complete-game shutout of the year to lead Baylor to a 3-0 win over Buffalo. The sophomore gave up just three hits and one walk while striking out four.

Kathy Shelton led the way on offense, going 2-for-2 with a double, two runs and RBI, while Shelbi Redfearn added a pair of RBI.

The Lady Bears got on the board in the third with a sac fly from Redfearn that scored Shelton for a 1-0 lead. Shelton reached on an infield single to third, got to second on a fielder's choice from Turk and made it to third on a wild pitch.

Baylor added two more in the fifth, as Kayce Walker led off the inning with a single to third, and following a steal of second, came home when Shelton ripped a double passed the first baseman for a 2-0 lead. Two batters later, Redfearn hit an RBI-single to left center, scoring Shelton to make it 3-0.

Paul settled in to retire 12 of the last 13 batters for the win.

Game Two
No. 15 Baylor 2, Liberty 1

The Lady Bears got another strong pitching performance, this time from Courtney Repka (9-2), who went 7.0 innings, allowing six hits, one run, one walk and striking out one.

Redfearn had two of BU's six hits, while Jordan Strickland and Repka each added an RBI.

Baylor posted a pair of runs in the second beginning with a squeeze bunt from Strickland that scored Redfearn, who singled. With Delaney Guy at second, Repka hit an RBI-single to right for the 2-0 advantage.

Liberty cut the lead in half with an RBI-single to left with two outs, making it 2-1.

Repka worked a perfect seventh and finished with a strikeout for the win.

Shelton extended her streak of consecutive games reached to 11 in the victory.

The Lady Bears will host North Texas on Wednesday at 6:00 pm at Getterman Stadium.
