Baylor enjoyed one of its most successful fall campaigns in program history in 2011, placing either first or second in each of its first three fall events. The Bears opened the season with an 11-stroke victory at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate in Verona, N.Y. It was Baylor's first season-opening tournament win since claiming the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate in September 2008. All five Baylor golfers finished in the top 15, including three that finished in the top-10 and under-par.

Baylor followed it up with back-to-back second-place finishes at the Wolverine Intercollegiate in Ann Arbor, Mich., and the Rod Myers Invitational in Durham, N.C. While in Michigan, junior Ryan O'Rear capped off his career-best performance with a fourth-place finish, while shattering his personal 18, 36- and 54-hole bests. Behind a trio of top-10 finishes, the Bears finished second at the Rod Myers Invitational at Duke.

After three straight out-of-state tournaments to open the season, Baylor closed its fall schedule with a pair of in-state events. Senior Joakim Mikkelsen finished second at the Lone Star Invitational in San Antonio, while the Bears finished fifth overall. Baylor concluded its fall season with a sixth-place finish at the fourth annual Royal Oaks Intercollegiate in Dallas.

Senior All-American candidate Joakim Mikkelsen leads the Bears with a 71.27 score averaging, carding 11 rounds of par or better in 15 total rounds. The Drammen, Norway, native recorded four straight top-10 finishes and currently ranks fifth in program history in both top-5 and top-10 finishes.

Salado, Texas, native Ryan O'Rear finished in the top-25 in each of Baylor's five fall tournaments, sporting a 71.60 scoring average and even score vs. par in 15 total rounds. O'Rear carded eight rounds of par or better, while he and Mikkelsen tied for the team's lowest 18-hole score in the fall (66). Mikkelsen and O'Rear both started in each of Baylor's five fall tournaments, while freshmen Mikkel Bjerch-Andresen and Kyle Jones appeared in the lineup in four of five tournaments.
