SCOUTING MISSOURI
Missouri enters the weekend winners of 12 of its last 13 games. Rhea Taylor leads the Missouri attack with a .457 average, seven home runs and 34 RBI. With ace Chelsea Thomas out of the lineup, Kristin Nottleman has stepped in with a 14-6 mark and a 2.31 ERA.
SERIES
Missouri leads the all-time series 24-15 and 6-5 in Columbia. Baylor has dropped five straight to the Tigers.
RPI UPDATE
Heading in to the weekend, Baylor sits at No. 58 in the NCAA RPI rankings. The Lady Bears still have one game a pair of games at Missouri (No. 10), one versus Texas (No. 6) and two against Houston (No. 50).
WALKER WARMING €ˆUP
Kayce Walker has found her swagger in conference play, batting .442 (19-for-43) with a double and six stolen bases.
NIETEN CLIMBING UP THE €ˆCHARTS
Courtney Nieten, who has 30 RBI this season, is now in third place on the all-time RBI €ˆlist with 113. She trails Brette Reagan by 43 and Chelsi Lake by 71.
HOME RUNS... FINALLY
Home runs had been hard to come by lately for Baylor. The Lady Bears have blasted four home runs in the last three games, however, it had taken them 16 games previously to hit four over the wall.
THIEVES
Baylor ranks second in the country with 111 bases this season, and also rank second in the country with a 2.47 stolen bases per game average.
CLOSE LOSSES
Of Baylor's 20 losses so far this season, seven have come by one run, while two have been in extra innings. In addition, 10 losses have come to ranked teams.
TWO OUTS? NO €ˆPROBLEM
The Lady Bears have had a knack for scoring with two outs this season. Of the 199 RBI so far, 80 (40 percent) of them have come with two outs.
DROPPING BOMBS
While it may not be 2007, the power is back in the Baylor lineup. In 2009, the Lady Bears hit 31 home runs in 62 games, however, in 2010 BU has hit 32 home runs through 46 games.
VANNATTA BREAKS €ˆOUT
Jordan Vannatta came into the season with one home run and 13 RBI in her career, as well as a batting average of .179. She has busted out this season, hitting .303 with seven homers, nine doubles and 37 RBI. In addition, she has been hit by a pitch 11 times this season, tying her with Kelly Levesque for the most in a season.

Baylor is 2-10 against ranked opponents this season.
