Seminole Intercollegiate First Round Results in PDF Format

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Entering the day tied for third overall, the Baylor men's golf team finished Saturday in seventh place after battling gusty winds during the second round at the Seminole Intercollegiate.

Host Florida State (8-over 576) continues to lead the field - one shot ahead of second-place South Carolina (9-over 577). North Carolina and North Texas are tied for third with a 12-over 580, followed by fifth-place Vanderbilt (16-over 584), sixth-place Arkansas (16-over 584) and the Bears in seventh at 24-over 592.

North Carolina's Jack Fields is the individual leader through 36 holes at 5-under 137. Doug Letson of Florida State is the only other golfer under par at 1-under 141. Baylor's Payne Gniewek carded an even-par 71 Saturday and is six shots back of Fields in a seventh-place tie at 1-over 143. Gniewek registered four birdies on the front nine before shooting 1-over during the last nine holes to finish the day even.

Joakim Mikkelsen and Lorenzo Scotto are tied for 28th at 6-over 148. Mikkelsen, who fired an opening-round even-par 71 Friday, shot 6-over during Saturday's second round. Scotto entered the second round tied for second overall after a first-round 2-under 69. The Pordenone, Italy, native shot 8-over 79 for Saturday's second round.

Austin Berkovsky is 17-over after 36 holes, tying for 67th overall. Ryan O'Rear is tied for 69th at 18-over 160.
