The No. 8 Baylor equestrian team (4-3) was tied with No. 1 Georgia, 5-5 at the end of Hunter Seat, but the Bulldogs took home a three-point win in the final event for the 11-8 win on Friday at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
Taylor Brown and Kara Fergusson each registered two points apiece in Hunter Seat for the Bears. The Hunter Seat team remains undefeated on the year with a 5-0-2 record.
Baylor opened by taking a 3-2 win in fences. Lisa Goldman's 86 earned her MVP honors, while Taylor Brown (87) and Kara Fergusson (84) picked up the other points for BU.
Brown (86) and Fergusson (78) scored Baylor's points in flat, tying the competition at five.
The Bears kept it tied, scoring a pair of points in horsemanship. Meghan Murphy and Ashley Garza each recorded 75.5's to make it 7-7 heading to the final event.
Katherine Berg picked up MVP with a 72.5 scoring the lone point for Baylor, as the Bulldogs took reining, 4-1 for the 11-8 win.
Baylor will next face No. 2 Texas A&M on Friday, Nov. 12 at 1:00 p.m. at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
