LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - The Baylor women's tennis team continued play in singles and doubles action on Saturday at the U.S. Intercollegiate Clay Court Championships in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
In singles play, the lone Baylor player remaining, Karolina Filipiak picked up a quarterfinal victory to start the day, but fell in the semifinals to No. 14 Bianca Eichkorn. In her first match, Filipiak took down Miami's Kayla Rizzolo in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. In the semifinals, Eichkorn handily took the first set, but the Baylor senior squared the match with a 6-3 set before falling 6-3 in the third.

In doubles play, Filipiak teamed with freshman Aya Bara to win their quarterfinal match. After receiving a first-round bye the Baylor duo easily defeated Mississippi State's Mariia Ryzhova and Danielle Terpko 8-1.
The pair will face Miami's duo of Rizzolo and Gabriela Mejia in the semifinals at 10 a.m. Sunday. The winner will advance to Sunday's final round.
