CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Baylor women's golfer Morgan Chambers was recently honored for her academic success as she was named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.
Chambers, a junior health science studies major from Purcell, Okla., earned NGCA all-scholar honors for the second time in her career.
Chambers averaged 79 strokes a round, competing in 10 of Baylor's 11 tournaments during her sophomore campaign. Chambers recorded her best collegiate finish at the Price's Give-Em Five Invitational with a three-round total of 226, finishing 12th overall.
A total of 410 women's collegiate golfer's, for Divisions I, II, and III, were recognized by the NGCA. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, with a minimum GPA requirement of 3.50 and 50% participation in the team's scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
