WACO, Texas -- Dustin Dickerson was 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, two walks and five RBI as Baylor trounced Stephen F. Austin 12-2 in midweek action Tuesday night at Baylor Ballpark. Baylor (27-20) snapped a three-game skid and moved to 27-0 all-time against Stephen F. Austin (22-28).

After leaving the bases loaded in the first, Baylor plated four runs on five hits in the second. Dickerson got the scoring started with a one-out, two-run double and later scored on Shaver Hansen's two-out double. Aaron Miller followed with an RBI single. The Bears pushed their lead to 6-0 in the third on Joey Hainsfurther's two-out, two-run double.

Baylor and Stephen F. Austin traded runs in the fourth, and the Lumberjacks got a run in the fifth; however, Baylor never allowed SFA to get any closer. The Bears got a pair of unearned runs on a bizarre play in the sixth. Gregg Glime singled with one out, and Brooks Pinckard followed with his second bunt single of the night. Both runners scored on the play thanks to a pair of Lumberjack throwing errors.

Things got interesting in the bottom of the eighth when Glime was hit neck-high by Chris Court's first pitch of the at bat. It was the third Baylor hit batsmen of the game; Raynor Campbell, who was using a legal wooden bat, was hit twice.

After both benches were warned, Baylor head coach Steve Smith and SFA head coach Johnny Cardenas exchanged words in a heated exchange behind home plate. Both coaches were ejected, and Glime was ejected one play later after a hard slide into third. One pitch later, Dickerson blasted a three-run homer to right-center, capping the scoring on the night.

Baylor starter Shawn Tolleson (1-1) earned the victory; he allowed two runs on eight hits and two walks with five strikeouts over 5.0 innings. Craig Fritsch struck out three and worked around a hit and a walk in 2.0 scoreless innings. Ross Speed and Logan Verrett each worked a scoreless frame to close the game on the mound.

SFA starter Jeremy Tamez (0-1) took the loss after allowing six runs on seven hits and four walks with no strikeouts over 2.2 innings.

All nine Baylor starters hit safely. Hainsfurther, Pinckard, Miller and Campbell had two hits each, while Pinckard and Campbell scored three runs each.

Baylor closes regular-season play this weekend, traveling to Lincoln, Neb., for a three-game Big 12 Conference series against Nebraska. The Bears and Huskers meet Friday at 6:05 p.m. CDT, Saturday at 2:05 p.m. and Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

NOTES: Baylor improved to 27-0 all-time against Stephen F. Austin, including a 23-0 mark in Waco. The Bears are 11-0 against SFA during head coach Steve Smith's tenure. ... Dickerson joined Hansen and Miller as the third Baylor player with at least 10 home runs this season. It marks the first time three or more Bears have collected at least 10 home runs each in a season since four Bears accomplished the feat in 2003 (Chris Durbin, David Murphy, Josh Ford and Michael Griffin). ... Dan Evatt extended his career-long hitting streak to nine games. Dickerson (seven games) and Hainsfurther (three games) also extended hitting streaks.
