The Baylor men's golf team shot 594 in the first two rounds to finish sixth after the first day of competition at the 2008 Big 12 Men's Golf Championships at Whispering Pines Golf Club.
Oklahoma State holds the team lead at 9-under par after two rounds. The Cowboys have two players tied for the individual lead at 4-under par.
Colton Williams shot 2-under par in the first round and finished the first day at even par in a toe for eighth place overall. Jeff Gerlich shot even par in the afternoon round to finish the first day at 3-over par in a tie for 16th place.
Bill Allcorn shot 5-over par for the day to finish in a tie for 23rd place, while Wes Williams sits in a tie for 40th overall at 11-over par. Cody Paladino shot 15-over par after two rounds to tie for 53rd place overall.
Baylor finished the first two rounds at 18-over par, just two shots back of fifth-place Oklahoma. Oklahoma State holds a 15-shot lead over second-place Texas.
