Final Stats

The No. 18 Baylor Lady Bears (18-10, 1-3 Big 12) collected just one hit and fell to No. 7 Texas A&M (32-6, 4-0 Big 12) 8-0 in six innings at Getterman Stadium on Wednesday.

Texas A&M had seven batters in-a-row reach base in the second inning, collecting six runs on five hits, including one crossing on a wild pitch, to take a 6-0 lead.

Baylor's lone hit came in the fourth, a single up the middle by Courtney Oberg with two outs, but she was stranded when Jordan Daniels followed with a groundout to second.

The Aggies scored their seventh in the fifth, as Holly Ridley tripled down the left field line and came around to score after the throw got passed third and allowed her to continue home.

A&M's final run came in the sixth, after an error at third allowed the runner from third to cross the plate.

Kirsten Shortridge (4-3) picked up the loss, going 1.1, giving up five hits, six runs and three walks. Brittany Turner came on in relief, throwing 4.2 innings, allowing four hits, two runs, no earned and one strikeout.

The Lady Bears will step hit the road to take on Oklahoma State in a weekend series starting on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Stillwater, Okla.
