GAME NIGHT STORY LINES
• After a week-long break from competition, the 21st-ranked Baylor Bears continue their seven-game homestand Saturday when they host the UT Arlington Mavericks at 8:30 p.m.
• Saturday's meeting is the 12th in the series - all in Waco - and the first since Nov. 21, 2001. Baylor is 10-1 all-time vs. UTA.
• Monday, Baylor moved up one spot to No. 21 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll, while debuting at No. 24 in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 Coaches Poll. Baylor's inclusion in the Coaches Poll is a first under head coach Scott Drew.
• Baylor has been ranked in the AP Poll for a school-record three consecutive weeks.
• Baylor is 4-3 all-time when ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll.
• Seniors Henry Dugat (980) and Kevin Rogers (975) are closing in on the Baylor 1,000-point club. The duo will be the 21st and 22nd members of 1,000-point club, joining teammate Curtis Jerrells, who became Baylor's 20th 1,000-point scorer last season.
• Baylor has made at least one 3-point field goal in 495 straight games.
LaceDarius Dunn has made at least one 3-point field goal in 14 consecutive games - the 11th-longest streak at BU since 1986.
Curtis Jerrells needs three points to pass former teammate Aaron Bruce for 7th place on the school's all-time scoring list.
Kevin Rogers needs 25 points (975) and 70 rebounds (630) to become just the seventh player in school history with 1,000 points and 700 rebounds.
Curtis Jerrells needs 53 assists to become only the second player in school history with 1,000 points, 400 assists and 100 steals.
• Baylor has led by 10 or more points in seven of its first nine games this season, while trailing in seven games. BU has trailed in double figures only once - in a loss to Wake Forest in November.
• After Baylor's 90-63 win over Prairie View A&M last week, the Bears are 22-2 under head coach Scott Drew when scoring 90-plus points.
• Baylor continues its homestand Monday when it hosts first-time opponent Hartford at the Ferrell Center on FSN Southwest at 7 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
• Saturday's meeting is the 12th in the series - all in Waco.
• It will be the first meeting in the series since Nov. 21, 2001, and the first under head coach Scott Drew.
• Baylor has won the last four meetings in the series. UTA's lone win in the series came with a 94-80 victory on Dec. 16, 1980.
• Baylor is 8-1 in the month of December vs. UT Arlington.

UT ARLINGTON SCOUTING REPORT
• UT Arlington visits the Ferrell Center in the midst of a 10-game road trip that began with a win, but the Mavs have suffered three straight road losses. On Saturday, UTA squandered an 18-point lead in a 81-68 loss to the Marshall Thundering Herd in Huntington, W.Va.
• Marshall registered runs of 15-2 and 12-2 in the second half and a 16-1 run at the end of the first 20 minutes to erase UTA's early 18-point advantage.
• UTA returns two starters from last season's 2008 NCAA Tournament team that lost to eventual national runner-up Memphis in the first round. Anthony Vereen leads the Mavs with 16.4 points and 6.3 rebounds through eight games. Brandon Long is second on the team with 15.7 points, while Marquez Haynes and Roge'r Guignard have chipped in 14.1 and 11.3 points, respectively.
• UTA's offense resembles Baylor's as three of the Mavs' top four scorers are guards. Three of Baylor's top four scorers are also guards.
• UT Arlington's top four scorers account for 75 percent of the Mavs' offense.

LAST TIME VS. UT ARLINGTON - NOV. 21, 2001
• Chad Elsey scored 23 points and Lawrence Roberts added 15 points and 10 rebounds as Baylor defeated UT Arlington, 88-64, at the Ferrell Center.
• Wendell Greenleaf and John Lucas added 17 and 12 points, respectively. Lucas dished out eight assists, while Roberts blocked a team-high three shots.
• Baylor led by eight points, 33-25, at the half, but exploded for 55 points in the second half to cruise to the 24-point win.
• UTA was led by Donny Beacham's 14 points and nine rebounds. Mack Callier added eight points and nine boards.

LAST TIME OUT - (22) BAYLOR 90, PRAIRIE VIEW A&M 63
• After Henry Dugat scored eight consecutive points in just over a minute in a go-ahead run midway through the first half, the 22nd-ranked Bears finally got comfortable and went on to a 90-63 victory over Prairie View in their first home game in three weeks.
• Before Dugat's 3-pointer with 10:36 left in the first half, Baylor was down by seven points. The Bears had made only three of their first 16 shots and missed all six 3-pointers.
• The Bears made 11 of their last 14 shots before halftime, when they had a 42-28 lead, and were 28-of-48 the rest of the game. They were 15-of-25 on 3-pointers after their early long-range slump.
LaceDarius Dunn led Baylor with 18 points, including four 3-pointers, while Dugat and Tweety Carter had 17 points andCurtis Jerrells had 13 points and eight assists.
• Baylor is 10-0 all-time vs. Prairie View and failed score 100 points for the first time in the last three meetings.
• Senior Kevin Rogers' field goal at the 16:15 mark of the first half was his first since the 7:22 mark of the second half against Wake Forest on Nov. 30, snapping a streak of eight-straight misses.
• Freshman Kendall Wright made his first appearance of the season after wrapping up play as a wide receiver on the Baylor football team.
• The Bears hit a season-high 15 three-pointers, while also taking a season-high 31 attempts.
• Jerrells moved into eighth place on the all-time list with 89 career starts. He sits three away from Robert McLemore in seventh.

UP NEXT - HARTFORD (DEC. 22)
• Shortly after hosting UT Arlington, Baylor will welcome America East Conference member Hartford Monday, Dec. 22, at the Ferrell Center. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. on FSN Southwest. Greg Lucas (pxp) and Jim Haller (color) will serve as the talent for the live broadcast.
• Baylor and Hartford have never met and the Hawks will be the first America East school the Bears have played.

LOOKING AHEAD - BAYLOR CONTINUES HOMESTAND
• After the Bears host Hartford on Dec. 22, Baylor will get a week-long break from competition before returning to the Ferrell Center on Dec. 29 to host Portland State.
• It will be the first series meeting between the 2008 NCAA Tournament participants.
• Baylor is 9-1 all-time vs. the Big Sky Conference.

BU DEBUTS AT NO. 24 IN USA TODAY/ESPN COACHES POLL
• On Monday, Baylor debuted at No. 24 in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 Coaches Poll. It marks the first time that Baylor has been ranked in two major college basketball polls simultaneously.
• Monday's inclusion in the Coaches Poll is a first under sixth-year head coach Scott Drew.

KNOCKIN' THEM DOWN
• After a sluggish start to the season at the free throw line, the Bears have regrouped over the last four games. BU is shooting 71.9 percent (100-of-139) from the free throw line in the last five games after shooting 64.6 percent (64-of-99) in the first four games.
• Baylor's improvement at the free throw line can be attributed to its four-best free throw shooters - LaceDarius Dunn, Curtis Jerrells, Henry Dugat and Tweety Carter.

BAYLOR VS. THE SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE
• Baylor is an impressive 64-20 all-time vs. the Southland Conference.
• UT Arlington will be Baylor's first (and only) Southland Conference opponent this season.
• Baylor is 2-3 vs. the Southland under head coach Scott Drew.

1,000-POINT CLUB WILL WELCOME TWO NEW MEMBERS SOON
• Last season, Curtis Jerrells became the 20th player in school history to score 1,000 career points and, this season, he is steadily climbing the career charts and should finish his career in the top six in scoring.
• This season, senior classmates Henry Dugat and Kevin Rogers are closing in on the career milestone. Dugat (980) and Rogers (975) need 20 and 25 points, respectively, to become the 1,000-point club's newest members.
• Next season, the club could grow even more with Tweety Carter (635) and LaceDarius Dunn (573).

CONSECUTIVE GAMES WITH A 3-POINTER STREAK
• Baylor has made at least one 3-point field goal in 495 straight games.
LaceDarius Dunn currently owns a streak of 14 consecutive games with at least one 3-pointer made.

CJ'S CAREER RECORD CLIMB CONTINUES
Curtis Jerrells is now in 8th place with 1,328 career points. He is three points shy of passing former teammate Aaron Bruce for 7th all-time.
• Jerrells is now eighth all-time with 89 career starts, three shy of Robert McLemore (92) for 7th place.
• Jerrells is now alone in third place with 347 career assists.
• Currently in 8th place all-time with 114 steals, Jerrells could move to fifth place in the next few games.

CLOSING IN ON SELECT COMPANY
• Senior forward Kevin Rogers is closing in a trio of career milestones. Rogers is 34 points away (966) from becoming the 21st player in school history to score 1,000 career points. Rogers currently has 623 rebounds and is six away from cracking the career top 10 list at Baylor.
• Rogers is on pace to become just the seventh player in Baylor history to join the prestigious 1,000 points/700 rebounds club.

JERRELLS EYEING 1,000-400-100 CLUB
• Last season, senior guard Curtis Jerrells became the 20th player in school history to score 1,000 career points. Earlier this season, he become the ninth player in school history to nab 100 career steals, while also climbing the career assists chart.
• Jerrells currently has 347 career assists and is 53 away from becoming just the third player in Baylor history with 400 assists.
• Once Jerrells reaches the 400-assist plateau, he will be joining an elite club that currently features only one member. CJ would become just the second player in school history with 1,000 points, 400 assists and 100 steals.
• Former Baylor and NBA star Micheal Williams is the only BU player with 1,000 points, 400 assists and 100 steals. Williams finished his career with 1,854 points (2nd all-time), 464 assists (2nd all-time) and 282 steals (1st all-time).
