AUSTIN, Texas - Baylor women's golf junior Hannah Burke shot an even-par 72 in the final round to finish tied for fourth overall and help the Lady Bears finish 10th overall at the Challenge at Wolfdancer Monday. As a team, the Lady Bears finished the tournament at 96-over 960 - three shots ahead of Iowa (99-over 963).

Colorado claimed the team title at Wolfdancer, shooting 64-over 928. Texas Tech and Texas State finished tied for second at 965-over 929, followed by College of Charleston and Idaho in fourth (both at 67-over 931).

Morgan Chambers was Baylor's second-highest finisher, posting a 42nd-place finish at 27-over 243. Jaclyn Jansen finished tied for 51st with a 31-over 247, followed by Lene Hafsten-Morch (32-over 248) and Natalie Hocott (37-over 253) in 55th and 75th place, respectively.

Sunday's rounds were suspended because of darkness; the second round was concluded Monday morning. Strong winds and fast greens were the cause for many of the high scores during the tournament. After shooting 327 in the first round, the Lady Bears improved by 12 shots with a 315 in the second round. Baylor closed out the tournament with a 318 in the final round.

With the 10th-place finish at Wolfdancer, Baylor concludes the fall portion of its season. The Lady Bears will return to the links when they participate in the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes, Calif., Feb. 9-11, 2009.
