The Baylor softball team wrapped up the fall by going undefeated at the Spring Klein on Oct. 4-5, as the Lady Bears finished the weekend by outscoring their opponents 27-4 over the four game tournament.

Baylor had three games on Saturday, beginning with a match up against Stephen F. Austin. The Lady Bears fell behind 2-0 after the first inning, but gathered themselves and pounded out 11 hits en route to a 6-2 win over the Ladyjacks.

Baylor next took on San Jacinto JC, who advanced to the JUCO World Series this past spring. The Lady Bears used 19 hits and power hitting, behind a pair of home runs, to defeat San Jacinto 10-0.

The Lady Bears played their third game of the day versus Blinn College, where Baylor used nine hits, including a home run by Sydney Wilson, and three steals to defeat Blinn, 5-2. Baylor's final game of the tournament pitted the Lady Bears against St. Edwards, scattering 10 hits for a 6-0 win.

"I'm very pleased with the progress we made in the fall," head coach Glenn Moore said. "We have a lot of work to do in the off season, but we have pinpointed those areas and will go to work on them."

Baylor finished the fall with a 7-1 record and will begin the 2009 season at Florida on Feb. 6-8.
