In addition to its solid fall performance on the field, the Baylor softball team was just as impressive off of it, as it was announced that the squad has posted a 3.36 grade-point average for the fall semester.

"The softball staff is extremely proud of the continued success our young women have had in the classroom over the years and especially this past fall," head coach Glenn Moore said. "We have student-athletes majoring in very tough curriculums such as law, accounting, neuroscience, child development and exercise physiology, among others, and they are performing very well. Bart Byrd and Sarah Sarter have done a phenomenal job guiding our team."

The team's gpa was a program record for the fall semester, as the squad was one of 10 Baylor teams to produce a fall semester grade-point average of 3.00 or better.

The defending Big 12 Champion Lady Bears will begin the season at home with the Getterman Classic on Feb. 15-17. For season ticket information, call 254-710-1000.
