Tennis Advances Six in Top Draw at Baylor Invite

Zemenova Cruises Through Day One Competition

WACO, Texas - At the H-E-B Baylor Invitational, the women's tennis team advanced six individuals to the quarterfinals after day one, setting up matches between Baylor's own Taylor Ormond and Jana Bielikova, and the Bears' Karolina Filipiak and Lenka Broosova when play continues on Saturday at the Baylor Tennis Complex.

Along with Ormond, Bielikova, Filipiak and Broosova, top-seeded Zuzana Zemenova (No. 6) and Zuzana Chmelarova have advanced to the quarterfinals in singles action. All six have also paired off advanced to the quarterfinals in doubles action as well.

Natalie Holmes has also advanced to the quarterfinals for Baylor, completing in the white (C) bracket.

Play resumes at the H-E-B Baylor Invitational at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday with doubles action at the Baylor Tennis Complex.
