Women's Tennis Opens Fall Season at Rice Classic

Baylor women's tennis program kicks off its fall season on Friday as members of the team travel to Houston to compete in the Rice Tennis Classic.
Sophomore Zuzana Chmelarova (Prague, Czech Republic) and junior Jana Bielikova (Previda, Slovakia) participated in the classic during 2006, each advancing to the semifinals in their respective draws before suffering losses.
This season the two will return to the event along with newcomer Karolina Filipiak (Poznan, Poland). All three are slated to play in the tournament's top draw.
Teams participating in the classic include: Houston, Lamar, Baylor, Texas, Arkansas State, Louisville, Texas-San Antonio, UT-Arlington, and Rice.
