WACO, Texas --- For the second consecutive season, the Baylor softball team landed two players on the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-America squad as Ashley Monceaux and Brette Reagan were selected to the third-team squad the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced on Wednesday. With Reagan's selection, she became the first player in school history to become a two-time selection to the NFCA All-America squad.

Monceaux earns her first nod as she leads the Lady Bears in almost every hitting category as the team enters its first-ever Women's College World Series. The senior first-baseman, who was a third-team at-large selection at first base, leads the team with a .40 batting average and has set new single-season school records with 20 home runs and 70 RBI on the year.

Reagan earns her second consecutive selection to the NFCA All-America squad as a third-team pick at third base after earning second-team honors a year ago. The sophomore enters the Women's College World Series second on the team with a .351 average and 10 home runs and ranks third on the squad with 45 RBI.

With Monceaux and Reagan's selections, Baylor has now had six players selected to the All-America team. Chelsi Lake joined Reagan on the squad last season while former Lady Bears Harmony Schwethelm (2005) and Naomi Fitzgerald (2000) previously earned third-team All-America status.

Monceaux, Reagan and the rest of the Lady Bears return to action on Thursday, May 31, as Baylor opens play at the 2007 Women's College World Series against No. 1 Arizona at 8:00 p.m.
