NORMAN, Okla. - The women's golf team is in first after firing a tournament low first round 282 and a second round 287 for a 36-hole total of 569 after the first day of the Susie Maxwell-Berning Classic hosted by the University of Oklahoma at the 6,013-yard, par-72 Jimmie Austin University of Oklahoma Golf Course.

Senior Anna Rehnholm (Karlskrona, Sweden) shot a career-low at Baylor with a 68 in the first round before firing a second round 69 to tie for second at 137 to lead the Bears.

Freshman Hannah Burke (Hertfordshire, England) opened with a 71 before shooting a career-low 68 to finish fourth after the first day of competition. Junior Sian Reddick (Folkestone, England) shot a 146 (69-77) to tie for 19th while Allison Martin tied for 24th with a two round total 147 (74-73). Freshman Natalie Hocott (San Antonio, Texas) and junior Stephanie Waters (Austin, Texas) carded a two round total 158 to tie for 80th.

Baylor shot a 569 (282-287) to lead the overall team standings by one stroke over Arkansas and four strokes over SMU. Stacy Lewis of Arkansas leads the individual standings at 134 by three strokes over SMU's Lacey Jones and Baylor's Anna Rehnholm.

The tournament concludes with the third round tomorrow.
