STILLWATER, Okla. -- A five-run Baylor first was erased as No. 14 Oklahoma State scored four runs in the second and six runs in the third en route to a 10-5 victory in Sunday's Big 12 Conference series finale at Reynolds Stadium. The victory gave Oklahoma State (22-6, 5-1) its first sweep of the Bears since 1998. Baylor (16-14, 2-7) has lost eight consecutive Big 12 road games.

The Bears batted around in the first inning, collecting five hits in the frame. Raynor Campbell singled to leadoff the game and then scored on Beamer Weems' triple to left-center. Two batters later, Aaron Miller plated Weems with an RBI double. Matt Sodolak's single to right pushed Miller to third, and Chase Gerdes scored both runners with a triple down the right-field line. Gerdes later scored on a wild pitch.

However, Baylor's lead was short-lived. Ty Wright led off the second with a double, and Rebel Ridling followed with an infield single. Dylan Brown's RBI single up the middle got the Cowboys on the board. Keanon Simon followed a three-run homer to right.

That forced Baylor starter Kendal Volz out of the game. He allowed four runs on five hits over 1.2 innings but did not factor in the decision. Cliff Springston (1-3) took the loss after recording the third out in the second inning and then surrendering all six runs in the third.

Tyler Mach doubled to leadoff the third and scored on Matt Mangini's game-tying single up the middle. After a Wright single, Ridling gave the Cowboys' their first lead of the game with an RBI single through the right side. Steve Ptak's two-run single and Corey Simon's two-run double capped the inning and pushed OSU's lead to 10-5.

Brandon Adams (1-0) earned the victory for Oklahoma State; he scattered two hits and a walk with six strikeouts over 4.0 innings of shutout relief. Starter Andrew Oliver did not escape the first inning, allowing five runs on five hits and a strikeout in two-thirds of an inning.

Baylor returns to action Tuesday, April 3, hosting Houston for a 6:30 p.m. CDT first pitch at Baylor Ballpark. Tuesday's game starts a six-game home stand for the Bears, who are 14-5 at home this season.

NOTES: Oklahoma State leads the series 32-22, including a 20-17 advantage since the inception of the Big 12 Conference with six of those meetings coming in postseason play. OSU holds a 14-10 advantage in games played at Stillwater. ... Baylor's five-run first inning was its most productive first inning since a five-run first May 2, 2006, at home against Texas-Arlington. ... Gerdes' first-inning triple was the 14^th of his career. He moved into an eighth-place tie with Michael Griffin and Seth Fortenberry on Baylor's all-time list.
