Former junior college national champion and Poland national junior outdoor champion Katarzyna Siwosz signed a national letter of intent to join the Baylor women's tennis team, head coach Joey Scrivano announced Thursday.

Currently a sophomore at Cowley College, Siwosz was a 2007 All-American and most recently captured the doubles title at the ITA National Small College Championships. In the fall of 2005, Siwosz capturing the junior college national championship and went undefeated at No. 1 singles in team competition during 2006.

Before Cowley College, Siwosz won the 2002 polish national junior outdoor championship and reached as high as No. 2 in Poland (under 18).

"We are excited that Kasia Siwosz will be joining our program next year," Scrivano said. "Kasia is an outstanding student-athlete with great intangibles. She plays an aggressive style of tennis and is eager to take her game to the next level."
