1. Your recruitment lasted late into the spring; what made you finally choose Baylor?

SB: "When I came here, it really reminded me of home. Baylor has a great family atmosphere and it offered me opportunities that no other place could."

2. It can be overwhelming just being a freshman in college, not to mention being a freshman athlete; what have been some of the biggest adjustments you have had to make and get used to?

SB: "I am on my own a lot more and it is weird making my own decisions and not really having to answer to anyone. It's kind of nice, but also weird at the same time. On the field, there's not a whole lot of room for error. I had to find that out the hard way."

3. You had your brother and sister each compete in collegiate athletics before you; what have you learned from them and have they given you any advice on what to expect?

SB: "My entire family works hard in everything they do. My brother and sister were always training, doing the extra stuff and going the extra mile. I learned early on that it really paid off, and I tried to pick that up as much as I could."

4. You also played volleyball at Derby; did you give any thought of playing that in college instead of softball?

SB: "No, I only played the other sports for fun. I never thought I would want to do anything other than softball."

5. Since many Baylor fans haven't had the opportunity to see you pitch yet, can you give us a brief overview of what we can expect to see when you are in the circle this spring?

SB: "I don't ever give up, I just keep going. I am not going to give up to anyone, even if it is Coach Moore. I struck him out by the way, and I felt very good about myself. I just have the mentality of thinking that no one is better than me, and I want to prove that to every hitter."
