WACO, Texas - Baylor senior Ryan Baca (Richmond, Texas) was named to the PING All-South Central Region Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Wednesday.
The squad is comprised of the top 15 players in each of the country's nine regions and each member is now eligible for PING All-America honors.
Baca, who earned PING All-America honors in 2004, wrapped up the greatest season in Baylor history, breaking the single-season stroke average record by more than a full stroke at 70.59, recording three straight victories, six top-five finishes, eight top-10 finishes and never finishing outside the top 25 in all 13 events. He became the school's all-time leader in victories with six and the all-time leader with 27 top-five finishes.
