WACO, Texas - Winners of five in a row and eight-of-nine, the No. 18 Baylor softball team returns home for a single game against North Texas on Thursday, April 27, at 6:00 p.m.

Baylor (33-17) enters the contest riding a five-game winning streak after sweeping a weekend series at Oklahoma State. The Lady Bears are led by freshman Brette Reagan, who leads the team with a .387 batting average on the season. Junior Chelsi Lake has also excelled at the plate for the Lady Bears this season, leading the team with 16 home runs and 47 RBI while batting .369 on the year.

Junior transfer Ashley Monceaux will likely see some action in the circle against the Mean Green as the right-hander has pitched well of late and carries a 5-3 record with a 3.10 ERA into the week.

North Texas (18-30) enters the contest after being swept in a three-game series by No. 13 Louisiana-Lafayette this past weekend. The Mean Green are led by Susan Waters, who leads the team with a .336 average and 30 runs scored this season.

In the circle, the Mean Green feature Kristina Fowler, who has posted a 15-16 record with a 4.02 ERA on the season in 190.0 innings of work.

Baylor leads the all-time series with North Texas 17-3 as the Lady Bears have won eight straight in the series, including a 9-7 win over the Mean Green last season.
