WACO, Texas - Baylor softball's Chelsi Lake was named Big 12 Conference Player of the Week the conference office announced Tuesday. The selection marked the second time in her career the junior has captured the award and the first time a Baylor player has been selected for the honor this season.

Lake led the Lady Bears to a 3-1 record on the week, posting an impressive .615 batting average, going 8-for-13 with three home runs, four doubles, six runs scored and seven RBI. The junior was an impressive 5-for-6 in the doubleheader sweep of Sam Houston State as she blasted three home runs, two doubles, posted six RBI and scored five runs as the Bearkats were run-ruled for only the second and third time this season.
