AUSTIN, Texas - The Baylor women's golf team shot 324 Saturday and stand 12th after the second round Saturday at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational Friday at the 6,323-yard, par-72 University of Texas Golf Course.
Senior Meredith Jones (Eugene, Ore.) is tied for 48th to lead the Bears at 161 (76-85), while senior Josefin Svenningsson (Gislaved, Sweden) is tied for 53rd at 162 (79-83).
Juniors Allison Martin (Bakersfield, Calif.) and Sherry Summers (Montgomery, Texas) are tied for 58th at 163, both shooting 83-80. Sophomore Sian Reddick (Folkestone, England) is tied for 75th at 171, shooting 82 and 89. Junior Anna Rehnholm (Karlskrona, Sweden) withdrew from Friday's round and shot 76 Saturday.
Duke's Amanda Blumenherst, at 2-over par 146, leads the individual competition by one stroke over Texas A&M's Christa Spedding and three strokes over teammate Elizabeth Janangelo and Texas A&M's Ashley Knoll. Duke leads the team competition by one stroke over Texas A&M and four strokes over Purdue.
The tournament concludes with the third and final round Sunday.
