Recap | Box Score | Notes
BAYLOR HEAD COACH Kim Mulkey
On the game:
"We had a very good start that I was pleased with. We played with great excitement and Bernice really led our team. As good as the first half was, the last seven minutes were that bad."
On the finish:
"The bad finish was not because of freshmen, we only have one senior in our starting lineup. We've just got to learn how to finish."
On the next game:
"I think we just need to get to the Stanford game if they beat BYU. It will be a great game for all women's basketball fans to see when they come down here and play us."
SENIOR FORWARD Bernice Mosby
On the game:
"Every game we try to come out with intensity. We have a very young team and it helps them to play with intensity."
On rebounding:
"Coach emphasizes the boards and we practice it hard in practice and that practice is then applied in the game."
HOFSTRA HEAD COACH KRISTA KILBURN-STEVESKEY
On the game:
"We just tried to come in here and compete against a ranked team. I was pleased with the second half and very displeased with the first half. We need to figure out how to compete for the whole game to be able to compete in our conference."
On playing at Baylor:
"We tried to downplay to the kids where we were at and who we were playing. At the beginning they kind of look like a deer in the headlights. When they figured it out, we showed everyone that we can come and compete."
