AUBURN, Ala. - The Bears completed the final round of the Derby Invitational with a 313 to finish 12th with a 36-hole total of 619 Sunday at the at the 6,310-yard par-72 Auburn University Club Golf Course.
Freshman Hannah Burke (Hertfordshire, England) tied for 17th at 152 (76-76) to lead the Bears while seniors Allison Martin (Bakersfield, Calif.) and Anna Rehnholm (Karlskrona, Sweden) finished with a 154 to tie for 27th. Martin finished with a 78 after shooting 76 in the first round. Rehnholm shot a 77 both round.
Junior Sian Reddick (Folkestone, England) finished 75th after shooting a final round 84 (77-84=161) while senior Sherry Summers (Montgomery, Texas) completed the day tied for 85th with a 169 (87-82)
Auburn took the team title with a score of 594, 12 strokes ahead of Alabama and 14 over Tennessee. Auburn's Marisa Milligan took the individual title at 145 by one stroke over Auburn's Nicole Hage and North Carolina's Lauren Hunt.
The Bears have the rest of the fall off before returning to action at the Central District Invitational Feb. 19-20, 2007, in Parrish, Fla.
