LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The Baylor women's golf team continues its season as the Bears head to New Mexico to compete at the "Price's Give `Em Five" Invitational on Monday, Oct. 16. The 6,319-yard par-72 New Mexico State University Golf Course will host Baylor, Boise State, Colorado, Colorado State, Gonzaga, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico State, Oklahoma, San Jose State, U.C. Davis and UTEP.
The Bears are currently ranked 52nd nationally in the latest Golfstat rankings and are 56th according to the Goflweek ratings. The Bears are ranked 5th in the Big 12 with senior Allison Martin ranked fourth and freshman Hannah Burke in 10th individually.
Martin leads the team with a 73.44 stroke average while Burke is second at 74.44 strokes per round.
Baylor has competed at the invitational every year since 2000. The Bear's best finish came in 2001 finishing first (291-292-287=870). Last year Missouri took the team title with a three round score of 891. The Bears finished 11th with a three round score of 921.
Following the Wolverine Invitational, the Bears will take a week off before competing at the Derby Invitational Oct. 27-29 at the Auburn University Club in Auburn, Ala.
Play will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday and results will be posted on BaylorBears.com as soon as they are available.
