The official supplier of Major League Baseball, Majestic, will be the exclusive provider uniforms and athletic apparel for Baylor baseball over the next two years, Bears coach Steve Smith announced today.
"We are thrilled to have an opportunity to partner with Majestic," said Smith, who directed the Bears to the College World Series and a share of the Big 12 Conference title in 2005. "Majestic enjoys a tremendous reputation in the baseball community and we look forward to a long association with a great company. It is a win-win for both Majestic and Baylor baseball.
The two-year agreement, with an option for a third year, will make Majestic the "official supplier" of team uniforms and athletic wear, including jerseys, jackets, gamers, shorts, sweatshirts and technical garments for the Baylor baseball program. Majestic Athletic has created a collegiate uniform collection that combines form and function with the performance of traditional MLB jerseys.
"Our team at Majestic is delighted with our new relationship with Baylor University, and the proud athletic tradition they carry," said company President Faust Capobianco. Majestic Athletic, headquartered in Bangor, Pa., markets and manufactures athletic team uniforms, performance apparel, outerwear and licensed athletic wear. The company is licensed by Major League Baseball and currently holds on-field uniform rights for all 30 Major League Baseball Clubs, in addition to exclusively supplying each club with on-field MLB Authentic CollectionTM outerwear, batting practice jerseys, t-shirts, shorts, and fleece. Majestic Athletic is also licensed by the Major League Baseball Players' Association, National Basketball Association, Arena Football League and many major colleges and universities to provide a wide variety of apparel products.
