HONOLULU - Final round scores soared for the entire field and Baylor wrapped up the tournament with a 317 to finish fifth with a 54-hole total of 920 at the Kent Youel Invitational hosted by the University of Hawai'i at the 5,900-yard, par-72 Kapolei Golf Course.
Sophomore Sian Reddick (Folkestone, England) shot a 75 and tied for fifth with a total of 224, while senior Josefin Svenningsson (Gislaved, Sweden) shot an 82 and fell from second to 11th with a total of 227. Senior Meredith Jones (Eugene, Ore.) shot an 83 and tied for 32nd at 235, while junior Anna Rehnholm (Karlskrona, Sweden) shot a 78 to tie for 35th at 236. Junior Alliston Martin (Bakersfield, Calif.) rounded out the scoring for the Bears, tying for 53rd at 240.
Southern California took the team title with a score of 896, six strokes ahead of Stanford at 902. Long Beach State, California and Baylor rounded out the top five. Stanford's Kelly Husted won the individual title by nine strokes with a score of 212.
The Bears have the rest of the fall off before returning to action at the Central District Invitational Feb. 20-21, 2006, in Parrish, Fla.
