WACO, Texas - The start of the Baylor and Vanderbilt women's tennis match was delayed because the Vanderbilt men's match ran long, but once they got on the courts, the No. 12 Commodores swept through the contest to post a 7-0 win over 32nd-ranked Baylor at the Brownlee O. Currey Jr. Tennis Center in Nashville.

Vanderbilt's 28th-ranked doubles team of Audra Falk and Annie Menees got on the scoreboard first for the Commodores with an 8-1 doubles win over BU's Zuzana Krchnakova and Carolin Walter. The other two doubles victories by the Commodores were by 8-1 scores as well.

Iva Mihaylova, playing at No. 6, was the only Baylor player whose match went to three sets. She fought valiantly but lost a third-set tiebreaker 12-10 to 77th-ranked Ashley Schellhaus. Freshman Carolin Walter made a good showing against Vandy's 39th-ranked Falk, falling 6-3, 6-4 and Krchnakova pushed 66th-ranked Amanda Fish of Vanderbilt before falling to defeat, 7-6 (5), 6-4.

The victory raises Vanderbilt's record to 3-0 while Baylor is 0-1. The Bears will remain in Nashville to take on No. 4 Duke on Saturday at 1 p.m. (CST).
