WACO, Texas - The 14th-ranked Baylor baseball team will head to Baton Rouge, La., to face No. 2 seed LSU in a best-of-three NCAA Super Regional beginning Friday.
Game one will be played Friday at 6:05 p.m. at LSU's Alex Box Stadium and syndicated by ESPN. Game two will be aired on ESPN2 throughout parts of the country, with first pitch thrown Saturday at 11:35 a.m. Game three (if necessary) would start at 1:35 p.m. and be aired regionally on ESPN.
Baylor advanced to a Super Regional for the second time in school history by sweeping through last weekend's NCAA Hattiesburg Regional. The Bears also advanced to a Super Regional in 1999.
Over 30 hours of super regional television will be provided by ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN syndication. Consult local listings for specific games shown in each area of the country. All 16 to 24 super regional games also are available through ESPN's College Grand Slam subscription package on many cable systems and satellite providers.
