Men's Golf Finishes Ninth at Big 12 Championships.

TULSA, Okla. - Ryan Baca (75-80-73=228) shot a three-round 228, finishing 12th individually, to lead Baylor to a ninth place finish at the Big 12 Championships at the Southern Hills Country Club here Tuesday.

Joining Baca in the top-half of individual finishers was junior Will Doughtie (80-74-81= 235) who shot a three-round 235 to finish tied for 27th.

Baylor (310-316-317=948) as a team shot a three-round 948 finishing 25 strokes out of the top five.

Texas (894) won its second consecutive championship by finishing four strokes ahead of host Oklahoma State (898) and five ahead of Oklahoma (899). Texas A&M (918) and Texas Tech (923) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Freshman Will McDonald (74-81-83=238) shot an 83 Tuesday and finished tied for 39th. Junior Austin Burk (81-82-79=242) shot his best round Tuesday to finish tied for 51st and senior Trevar Matheson (84-83-85=252) shot a three-round 52 to finish tied for 59th.

Baylor will now wait to see if they will qualify for their sixth consecutive NCAA Regional Championship. If the Bears qualify they will play May 15-17 at the Colbert Hills Golf Club in Manhattan, Kan.
