Men's Golf Heads to Austin

WACO, Texas - Baylor's men's golf team will continue its spring season by playing at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate, hosted by Texas on Monday-Tuesday, March 17-18, at the Austin Country Club.

The tournament boasts a strong 18-team field that includes Baylor, Arizona State, Arkansas, BYU, Fresno State, Georgia Tech, Houston, New Mexico, UNLV, North Florida, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, USC, Texas A&M, TCU, Tulsa and host Texas.

Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, BYU, Fresno State, Georgia Tech, New Mexico, UNLV, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, USC, Texas, and TCU are each ranked in the top 50, according to Golfstat.com.

The format of the Invitational consists of 54 holes beginning with two rounds on Monday starting at 7:15 a.m. The final round will be played Tuesday morning, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

The Oak Hills Country Club is a 6,906-yard, par 72 course situated in the state's capital.

The Bears are currently ranked 49th by golfstat.com.

In Baylor's last outing, the Bears finished 4th of 15 teams at the Louisiana Classic, the team was led by sophomore Ryan Baca who finished tied for second individually.
