WACO, Texas - After two days of team workouts beginning Monday, the Baylor baseball team opens its annual Fall Practice Wednesday with the start of a 15-game intrasquad schedule.
Fifteen letterwinners return from a year ago, when the Bears finished the season 36-26 and lost in the NCAA Austin Regional championship to eventual national champ Texas. Baylor also welcomes 16 newcomers to the team.
Fall Practice games will continue over the next three weeks, concluding Oct. 18-20 with the final three-game set. The schedule follows:

All games are open to the public, and admission is free. The series provides fans with their first chance to see the newest Bears in action at Baylor Ballpark, and also provides a glimpse of what is to come this spring when the team begins its 2003 schedule.
The Bears also have the honor of hosting the Texas/New Mexico Junior College All-Star Weekend at Baylor Ballpark this weekend. The top 72 junior college players from Texas and New Mexico will compete in a three-game series, beginning Friday at 7 p.m. and continuing with a doubleheader Saturday at 11 a.m. Tournament passes will be available for $5 for adults, $3 for students.
