WACO, Texas - The Baylor baseball program earned its fifth-straight NCAA Tournament selection as the field of 64 was announced Monday.
The Bears are headed to Disch-Falk Field for the Austin Regional, where No. 2 seed Baylor will face No. 3 seed Lamar in the first round Friday at 1 p.m.
Baylor and Lamar are joined in Austin by Texas, the No. 5 overall seed for the NCAA Tournament, and Northeast Conference tournament champs Central Connecticut State.
"I'm very, very pleased for our seniors and our older guys to have the chance to keep playing," Baylor head coach Steve Smith said. "It's encouraging that the committee really did take our entire season into account, and not just the last two weeks."
