Waco, Texas - Baylor's men's golf team will compete in the NCAA Central Regional at the Pleasant Valley Country Club May 16-18 in Little Rock, Ark.
Baylor, TCU, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, Toledo, Purdue, Lamar, Alabama, Louisiana State, Tulsa, Kansas, SMU, Illinois, Houston, Missouri, Colorado, Texas-Arlington, Northwestern, Arkansas State, Maryland, St. Johns, Austin Peay, Princeton, Army, and Jackson State will compete in the 27-team field.
The format of the Invitational consists of three rounds of 18 holes. First round tee time is scheduled for 7:15 a.m. Thursday morning.
Pleasant Valley is a 7,103-yard, par 72 golf course.
The Bears are making their fifth consecutive appearance in the central regional, their highest finish as a team was in 2000 when the team placed tenth. Individually, Baylor's best performance came from Jimmy Walker last season when the then senior finished tied for fifth overall.
Competing for Baylor will be sophomores Jon Antunes and Adam Meyer, freshmen Ryan Baca and Derek Abel and junior Jamie McLeary.
In Baylor's last outing of the fall, the Bears finished fourth at the Big 12 Championships in Hutchinson, Kan. The team has finished in the top five in ten straight tournaments.
