WACO, Texas - The Baylor baseball team has added one additional game to the 2002 schedule, head coach Steve Smith announced Wednesday. The Bears will host Southwest Texas at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, at Baylor Ballpark.
The game was added to the schedule to make up for a rainout suffered April 7 against Oklahoma State. NCAA regulations allow teams to play a maximum of 56 regular season games; Tuesday's added game brings Baylor's total up to that limit.
Season ticket holders can use their ticket from that rained-out OSU game for admission. Single game tickets are available for sale through the Baylor ticket office as usual.
The Bears continue a string of non-conference games this weekend, hosting Dallas Baptist for a single game Friday at 7 p.m. and a doubleheader starting Saturday at 2 p.m.
