MANHATTAN, Kansas - Baylor's women's golf team stands in third place midway through the second round of the 2002 Big 12 Championships, which was suspended Saturday due to inclement weather in the Manhattan, Kan., area. Baylor, ranked 33rd in the latest GOLFSTAT national rankings, shot a combined three-over-par in its partial second round before play was halted. Only one of five Baylor golfers finished nine holes Saturday.

The Bears stand at 21-over-par and trail leader Oklahoma State (+7) by 14 strokes, and second-place Oklahoma (+16) by five strokes. Texas (+28) and host Kansas State (+32) round out the top five.

Senior Tara Bateman, who shot two-under in seven holes Saturday, is seventh among individuals at three-over.
