BRYAN, Texas - Baylor's women's golf team finished fifth out of the field of 18 at the Texas A&M-hosted Verizon "Mo"Morial Invitational Tuesday. Baylor turned in a two-day total of 640 (324-314).
Ohio State won the tournament shooting 616 to second-place Michigan State's 630. TCU and Oklahoma rounded out the tournament's top-five posting totals of 633 and 638, respectively.
Individually, junior Hanna Svenningsson paced the Bear team tying for 13th-place with duplicate rounds of 79 for a 158 stroke total.
Other top finishers for Baylor included junior Melanie Hagewood, who shot 82-79 (161) to tie for 25th, and senior Tara Bateman and sophomore Kelli McKandless who both tied for 31st with two-day totals of 162.
The Lady Bears will resume action March 23-24 at the Mountain View Classic in Tuscon, Ariz.
