WACO, Texas - Paul Witt's RBI single in the 11th inning drove home Trey Webb to give 10th-ranked Baylor a 5-4 win over Kansas Sunday afternoon and a series sweep of the Jayhawks.

Baylor (17-6, 7-2 Big 12) trailed going to the bottom of the eighth inning for the third straight day. Down 4-2 to the Jayhawks (10-6, 1-5 Big 12) and with only six outs remaining, Baylor took advantage of an error and two Kansas wild pitches to plate the tying runs off Kansas starter Jeff Davis.

With one away in the eighth, Mike Huggins and Paul Richmond hit consecutive singles, but Davis struck out Chris Durbin for the second out. David Murphy followed with a grounder to the right side that trickled through second baseman Ryan Baty's legs, scoring Huggins. With Michael Griffin at the plate, Davis then threw two consecutive wild pitches to move Richmond to third and then send him home with the tying run.

Baylor put up a threat in the 10th inning, loading the bases on a single and two walks after two outs, but reliever Kevin Wheeler (0-1) got Griffin to ground to third to end the inning.

Webb led off the 11th inning with a bloop double to right, and on a 2-1 count, Witt sharply singled up the middle to drive home the winning run.

Kyle Edens (3-2) picked up the win in relief, throwing 3 2/3 innings and allowing just one hit. Edens followed Justin Taylor, who struggled through six innings, and Trey Taylor, who gave up two hits but no runs in 1 1/3 innings.

The Bears have now claimed 16 straight games from the Jayhawks and are 21-2 all-time against Kansas.

Baylor returns to action Wednesday at 6 p.m., hosting McNeese State at Baylor Ballpark. The Bears return to Big 12 play next weekend with a three-game series at Missouri.
