Men's Golfers In Second at Mizzou

ST. CHARLES, Mo. - ST. CHARLES, Mo.--Junior Will Doughtie (71-65=136) shot a combined 136 to lead all Bears and is currently tied for third at the Nestle Purina Classic. The Bears as a team are just four shots behind front-runner Illinois heading into the final round of 18 Tuesday.

Sophomore Ryan Baca (68-69=137) shot five under par and stands tied for sixth overall. Baylor, (284-279=563) as a team shot five strokes under par.

Junior Adam Meyer (72-73=145) joins Doughtie and Baca in the top 30. Meyer followed an opening round 72 with a one-over 73 and stands tied for 25th.

Senior Jamie McLeary (73-73=146) shot two rounds of 73 and is tied for 31st. Junior Jon Antunes (81-72=153) improved nine strokes from an opening round 81 and is currently tied for 63rd.

The Bears are attempting to finish in the top five in their 13th straight regular season tournament.

The final 18 holes of the Purina Classic will begin Tuesday at 8 a.m.
