Coach Steve Smith says:
"Several of the freshman hitters are starting to get more comfortable. Kevin Sevigny and Kyle Reynolds are swinging the bat well. Kevin is pretty polished in the outfield with enough arm strength to play any of the outfield positions. Kyle has been getting more work at third and second and has played well at both.
"Michael Griffin has played extremely well in left field and has also spent some time at first base. Josh Ford has done a good job both behind the plate and swinging the bat.
"First base seems to be the spot that is still waiting for a leader to emerge. Mark Saccomanno, who has been hitting the ball extremely well, along with Zach Dillon and Josh Ford have been the most consistent to this point.
"A number of pitchers continue to throw well as indicated by their stats.
"This has been an extemely productive fall to date and, so far, we have dodged the rain. For the most part, the games have been well-played and very competitive."
