WACO, Texas - The National Golf Coaches Association named two Baylor women's golfers to the all-Scholar Golf Team earlier this summer. Sophomores Melanie Hagewood and Hanna-Sofia Svenningsson were named to the all-Scholar team during the NCAA Tournament last May.

Criteria for the award includes a 3.4 cumulative GPA for the entirety of their college career, completion of at least one year at the college of nomination, and participation in at least 66 percent of the college's regular season schedule.

This award boasts the highest criteria for any academic award related to collegiate athletics.

The women's golf team opens the fall season Sept. 13-15 at New Mexico's Comcast Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
