ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Baylor's women's golf team finished fourth out of eight teams after the final round of play at the Comcast/Dick McGuire Invitational.
The Bears were led by junior Melanie Hagewood who shot 76-74-73 to finish with a total of 223 and tied for 11th place.
Rounding out the individual scoring for the Bears were senior Nicole Johnson (72-74-77=223) who finished tied for 11th along with junior Hanna-Sofia Svenningsson who shot 73-77-73=223. Senior Tara Bateman finished tied for 28th (79-74-76=229) and sophomore Michaelyn Morgan finished tied for 30th (78-74-78=230)
Baylor sophomore newcomer Kelli McKandless entered as an individual and finished tied for 30th with rounds of 78,76,76 for a total of 230.
New Mexico won the tournament with a total score of 875, five strokes ahead of second place finisher New Mexico State (880), and third place finisher Oklahoma State (891).
Out of the 17 teams invited to participate, only eight were able to make the trip due to last week's tragic events.
