SAN ANTONIO, Texas, -- Jared Theodorakos gave up just one hit in six innings of work earn his second win of the season and lead the Baylor baseball team to a 13-2 win over UT-San Antonio Tuesday night at Wolff Stadium.

With the win, the Bears improve to 9-3 on the season, while the Roadrunners fall to 4-7. UTSA righty Sal Alvarado (0-2) took the loss for the Roadrunners.

Baylor got on the board in the first inning when Trevor Mote, batting second, smacked a double to centerfield. Chris Durbin, hitting third, blasted a home run over the left field wall to put the Bears up 2-0.

Highlighted by a triple from Matt Williams and a two-run homer by Kelly Shoppach, the Bears managed to score a pair of runs in the second, fourth and fifth innings before UTSA errors gave way to three runs in the seventh.

The Bears will open Big 12 conference play Friday when they host Texas A&M. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. at Baylor Ballpark
